Why does the fitting matter as much as the kitchen?
Two identical kitchens can look and last completely differently. Level carcasses, tight worktop joints, doors that line up and appliances that sit square come from careful preparation and the right order of work, not from the price of the units.
Any kitchen, any supplier
We fit kitchens bought anywhere, flat-pack or rigid, and check the delivery against the plan before we start so missing parts are found early.
Price fixed in writing
Your quote is itemised by stage and trade, and the price is fixed in writing once the layout, specification and scope are agreed.
Certified where it matters
Electrics tested and certified to BS 7671, notifiable work notified, and gas hobs connected only by Gas Safe registered engineers.
Straight about surprises
If the old kitchen hides a leak, rotten floor or failed plaster, we stop, show you, and price the extra work in writing before carrying on.

Before and after
What does a new kitchen fit change?
A dated kitchen usually needs more than new doors. In this example the old units, worktop and border tiles come out, the walls are made good, and a new kitchen goes in with a quartz worktop, a chimney hood over the hob, a full-height oven housing, a tiled splashback and downlights.
Where the carcasses are sound, a refit can keep them and change everything you see instead. Drag the slider to compare.

Questions about getting a kitchen fitted
Straight answers to what people ask us most. More on the FAQ page.
What areas do you cover?
We fit kitchens across England, Wales, mainland Scotland and Northern Ireland. Our area and town pages list many places, but we also cover villages and rural properties. Send us your postcode and we will confirm. The guide prices on each area page are adjusted for regional differences in labour and access costs.
Is the survey visit free?
Yes. The survey visit is free and there is no obligation to go ahead. We measure the room, check the walls, floors and the positions of the gas, water, waste and electrics, and for fit-only jobs check what has been bought. You then receive an itemised written quote.
Will you fit a kitchen I have bought elsewhere?
Yes. We fit kitchens from any retailer, trade counter or online supplier, flat-pack or rigid. Before fitting we check the delivery against the plan and the delivery note. Missing or damaged parts are the supplier's responsibility to replace, and we tell you straight away so the fit can be re-planned. Please keep the boxes sealed until fitting day.
Do you supply kitchens as well as fit them?
Yes. With supply and fit, we survey, design, supply and install the whole kitchen under one contract. Design is included in the price, from the measured survey and layout to the choice of units, worktops and appliances. Supplied kitchens have a lead time of roughly four to twenty weeks, depending on the range.
How do your quotes work?
After the survey visit you receive an itemised written quote, with strip-out, units, worktops, appliances, electrics, plumbing, tiling and other work shown as separate lines. You can see exactly what is included and adjust the specification if you wish. Your price is fixed in writing once the layout, specification and scope are agreed.
How long does it take to fit a kitchen?
Usually three to twelve days on site: three to five for a small kitchen, five to eight for a medium one and eight to twelve for a large one. Stone worktops are fitted about one to two weeks after templating, and new plaster needs three to six weeks to dry before full decorating.
Who carries out the work?
You have one contract with Kitchen Installers UK and one point of contact. The fitting is done by kitchen fitters working under our management, and the specialist work by qualified trades: Gas Safe registered engineers for any gas work, electricians who test and certify their work to BS 7671, and plumbers, tilers and plasterers, each booked in the right order.
Do you take on smaller kitchen jobs?
Yes. As well as full kitchens, we replace doors and drawer fronts, fit new worktops, install appliances, cooker hoods, sinks and taps, and carry out kitchen electrics and plumbing. Smaller jobs still start with a survey visit, so the measurements and the price are right before anything is ordered.
